An established financial institution is seeking an experienced Investment Counsellor / Investment Advisor to provide tailored investment advice and portfolio solutions to high-net-worth clients. The role will work closely with Relationship Managers to translate market views into actionable investment ideas and support business growth.

This role will partner with Relationship Managers to deliver tailored investment strategies and portfolio solutions to high-net-worth clients. This role requires strong investment expertise, client-facing capabilities and the ability to translate market views into actionable opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Partner with Relationship Managers in client meetings to understand clients’ investment objectives, risk appetite, liquidity needs and time horizons.
2. Develop tailored investment strategies and multi-asset portfolio proposals for HNW clients.
3. Provide investment recommendations across equities, fixed income, funds, structured products and alternative investments.
4. Translate market views and research into clear, actionable investment ideas.
5. Present investment recommendations clearly, including the rationale, potential risks and exit strategies.
6. Review portfolios and advise on asset allocation, rebalancing, risk management and cash deployment.
7. Support client engagement and investment campaigns to convert ideas into business opportunities.
8. Ensure all recommendations comply with MAS regulations and internal suitability requirements.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline; CFA qualification would be advantageous..
2. Relevant experience in investment advisory, wealth management or private banking.
3. Strong knowledge of multi-asset investing, portfolio construction and investment products.
4. Experience advising and presenting to HNW clients.
5. Strong commercial awareness and ability to support business growth.
6. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
7. Relevant CMFAS certifications would be advantageous.
8. Fluency in spoken Mandarin is required to explain complex investment recommendations and provide advisory support to Mandarin-speaking UHNW/HNW clients.
