Principle Research Analyst
Are you an experienced price reporter or market participant, who enjoys analytical and socializing their views with others in the market.
We're looking for a senior journalist to join
- Manage daily and weekly coal index setting
- Manage methodology handling - including consulting with the industry on working through any changes that may need to be implemented
- Write timely news articles relating to the coking coal market for Inside Coal, Newswire and McCloskey Coal Report, and other associate publications
- Mange relationships with contacts and clients
Coal, Metals and Mining team
You will be working in the Coal Metals and Mining Team in Singapore and Australia. The team of around 12 colleagues covers seaborne trade of coal across the APAC region
You have :
- Degree level education, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within the metallurgical coal industry.
- Fluent in English and Chinese
- Knowledgeable in global commodity markets, with particular interest in coking coal
- Strong written English skills to publishable level
- Good with maintaining industry contacts
- Someone who understands the big picture, while remaining diligent with details
- A team player
