For every trade agreed, every new product launched or market entered, every transaction completed, it is Operations that develops the processes and controls that makes business flow.

Are you looking to apply your analytical skills while enhancing your understanding of account opening and maintenance for the Institutional client base? Our Account Management team is seeking a professional who is looking to collaborate with various internal teams, technologists, and business to mitigate risks associated with the reference data pertaining to accounts.

The core work flow of Account Management consists of team members liaising with various internal business partners and external clients to ensure the timely and accurate account opening and maintenance of a variety of account types. This includes partnering with Middle Office teams, Core Operational Areas, the Client Implementation team and on occasion with Legal and Compliance in support of the Equity, Fixed Income, Prime Brokerage, Derivative Clearing Services and Futures businesses. Team members also have the opportunity to contribute to various projects and efficiency initiatives in partnership with local and global internal collaborators, including our Technology teams.

Many of the functions performed have a direct impact on client relationship, regulatory reporting, exposure management and trade flows. The candidate must be comfortable and willing to work in a fast paced environment with competing demands and capable of meeting strict deadlines.


  • Prepare to gain a comprehensive understanding of various GS business groups and client on-boarding process
  • Ongoing maintenance of client account data
  • Manage the periodic updates and maintenance of entity regulatory data attributes including SSIs etc
  • Use your inquisitive mind set to understand and analyze industry regulation, understand financial products and financial markets
  • Leverage your quantitative skills to perform business analysis and manage projects, identify and mitigate risks, identify inefficiencies and propose solutions, understand operational problems and be able to offer solutions

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 3.5 years work experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Critical thinking / thought leadership / ability to suggest improvements and "hunt" for risk
  • Service orientation, sense of urgency, ability to manage internal clients' expectations, follow- through and professionalism
  • Strives in an teamwork environment, strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Japanese language skills due to potential interaction with Japanese clients
  • New account and operational / reconciliation experience
