Position Description
Operations Risk & Quality Assurance are responsible for demonstrating, monitoring and managing the effectiveness and adequacy of the risk and control environment supporting Global Onboarding, Client Services and Pre-Trade Operations and Securities Core Trading Operations within Global Markets Operations.

The role is responsible for providing oversight and governance around Regulatory and Resiliency related book of work which are increasingly becoming critical under the complex regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be part of the global central team working with Operations line management to gather and analyze key information required for Global Resolution & Recovery Planning.
  • Provide regional coverage for Laws, Rules, Regulations and Policy change management governance.
  • Drive Laws, Rules and Regulations mapping exercise working closely with the Operations teams as well as Compliance partners in the region as part of the global initiative.
  • Provide regional oversight and governance around any regulatory related book of work including regulatory exam / inquiry management.
  • Provide regional coverage for Business Continuity Plan governance.
  • Responsible for providing oversight and governance around Regulatory and Resiliency related book of work.

Key Requirements
  • Knowledgeable in Global Markets products or support functions.
  • Detailed understanding of the end to end trade lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of key market Regulatory rules and principles.
  • Understanding of key controls across a number of processes and/or products.
  • Ability to effectively manage operational risks and to suggest control enhancements.
  • Analytical and objective problem solver.
  • Able to understand / learn complicated concepts and apply objective analysis to determine root cause and put forward recommendations for remediation.
  • Positive and motivated to perform in an diverse environment where the type of work will regularly change.
  • Proven track record of improving processes and demonstrating successful teamwork.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with an ability to discuss risk-based conclusions or recommendations with senior management and or product line SMEs.
  • Tech savvy to in order to explore and execute solutions to simplify and improve reporting processes.
  • Excellent people /stakeholder management skills at all levels of seniority.
