Our client, a major European Private Bank with a large client base in Asia, is further expanding their current Business Analytics, Operational Analytics, Business Intelligence teams. They are hiring dedicated specialists to support decision making of the Executive Leadership in front-office in Asia. Available roles at Analyst, Associate, VP and Director grade.

Multiple positions including:

Head of Business Analytics (VP/ Director)

Purpose:

  • Lead a dedicated business analytics team that uses data, analytics and statistical methods to provide insights critical for business performance
  • Be directly involved in key analytics projects, engaging senior business stakeholders to understand strategic direction, working with internal and external parties to frame, develop and implement analytics solutions and communicating findings and recommendations to senior management

Responsibilities:

  • Drive analytics activities at all stages of the analytics life-cycle – understanding business needs, defining business questions to be answered, sourcing, cleansing and transforming data, conducting exploratory data analysis, developing and validating models and explaining analytics results, implications and proposals in business terms
  • Engage stakeholders to understand business issues & opportunities, and formulating it in a manner that can be analysed and modelled
  • Plan and track progress of analytics development activities
  • Identify and obtain relevant data, ensure proper data cleansing, transformation and aggregation rules are applied, explained and documented
  • Ensure that statistical methodologies, analytics and machine learning techniques applied are suitable for the issue at hand, and assumptions / constraints of the techniques are clearly understood
  • Translate analytics findings and insights into actionable business proposals and activities
  • Build effective communication approach using data visualisation techniques, data storytelling and presentation best practices
  • Present findings and recommendations to management

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of direct experience in leading data analytics teams in a banking environment in a senior position
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics or Applied Statistics
  • Knowledge and experience in usage of R, Tableau, Business Objects and SQL is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint collaboration tools.

 

Head of Operational Analytics & Business Intelligence (VP/ Director)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a dedicated team of specialists to plan, deploy and support MIS reporting and KPI dashboards, and operationalise data analytics insights across all levels of the Bank
  • Be involved in key analytics projects, partnering with Business Analytics and Data Governance units, to operationalise analytics insights and ensure effective MIS / performance measurements.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of direct experience in business intelligence, MIS, operational analytics roles with a focus on performance measurement in a banking environment
  • Proven track record of delivering timely, high quality senior level reporting. Attention to detail is critical with a focus on clear, relevant and effective visualisation
  • Competent in use of data technologies for performance management, with hands-on experience in business intelligence tools and delivery platforms including Tableau, R, Business Objects, SQL/Oracle/Teradata/Hadoop etc
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Management Information Systems, BS in Information Systems, Data Science or equivalent

 

Business Intelligence (Analyst/ Associate)

Responsibilities:

  • Centralise MIS / performance dashboards delivery and campaign leads / events for the Bank
  • Responsible for planning, delivering and supporting MIS reporting and KPI dashboards across all levels of the Bank
  • Engage stakeholders to understand key drivers and results measurements of client and relationship manager performance
  • Develop a deep understanding of key performance and result metrics, data structures and reporting tools in order to identify and drive resolution of issues, provide actionable insights with existing or propose new metrics, dashboards or tools
  • Develop data extraction, cleansing, aggregation and integration solutions from multiple data sources
  • Develop customised reports and dashboards using business intelligence and visualisation tools like Tableau, R
  • Generate ad-hoc and recurring reports and dashboards

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of direct experience in business intelligence, MIS and performance measurement in a banking environment
  • Competent in use of data technologies for performance management, with hands-on experience in business intelligence tools and delivery platforms including Tableau, R, Business Objects, SQL/Oracle/Teradata/Hadoop etc
  • Bachelor’s degree / diploma in Management Information Systems, Business Intelligence, Data Science or equivalent

 

Operational Analytics (Analyst/ Associate)

Responsibilities

  • Turn data analytics insights into action – starting with centralised management of campaign leads and events activities for the Bank
  • Utilize data analytics insights to create engaging, targeted and measurable campaigns.
  • Engage analytics and business stakeholders to understand business drivers, implement client / product campaigns and drive initiatives to improve conversion and campaign effectiveness
  • Develop subject matter expertise in client / product campaign data and processes, including wealth management product portfolio mix, data structures and tracking mechanisms and staying abreast of industry trends and practices
  • Develop data extraction, filtering and validation approaches to identify campaign targets which conforms with eligibility and suitability rules
  • Manage ad-hoc and recurring leads generation, progress reporting and closure activities

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of direct experience in client / product campaigns management in a banking environment
  • Competent in use of data technologies for leads generation, campaign tracking and evaluation, with hands-on experience in CRM tools and delivery platforms including SQL, VBA, Tableau, R, Business Objects, Oracle/Teradata/Hadoop etc
  • Bachelor’s degree / diploma in Management Information Systems, Business Intelligence, Marketing Management or equivalent
