Working with your colleagues from Corporate Finance and Finance, you will be part of the team responsible for the preparation of monthly consolidated financials and management reporting packs, quarterly Board papers, and the Group’s yearly budget and financial statements. As part of the monthly management reporting pack, you will need to perform a detailed analysis of the variance against budget and last year and forecast of the Group’s results. You will also work with our counterparts at our asset level to resolve complex accounting issues.

 

To perform well in this role, you will need to have an analytical mind. You will also need to have strong accounting technical abilities, including knowledge of acquisition and divestment accounting, service concession accounting and impairment assessment. Being a team player is a must.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Financial closing and preparation of monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual consolidated financial and management reporting packs.
  • Budgeting and forecasting exercises.
  • Work closely with both external and internal auditors and external financial advisors to ensure compliance with Group and statutory reporting.
  • Support M&A activities, including the integration of acquired companies and divestment of entities
  • Work with asset’s finance team on complex accounting issue.
  • Work with external bookkeepers and tax agents to ensure that filings are completed on a timely basis.
  • Handle other projects and finance related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accountancy or Qualified CPA / CA equivalent.
  • 5-8 years of working experience of which at least preferably 4 years are from one of the Big 4 accounting firms.
  • Solid technical competency in Singapore accounting standards.
  • Experience in cross-border accounting, treasury and tax considerations is a plus.
  • Analytical and strong business acumen with ability to think on the feet.
  • Ability to work under pressure, independently, managing multiple stakeholders, initiatives and tasks effectively.
  • Ability to exercise right judgement on the need for diplomacy and/or being assertive when ambiguity arises.
  • Prior experience with valuations is a plus.
