You will be a member of the credit control team that monitors the performance of the business portfolio and take proactive measures to identify accounts showing signs of potential distress.

The Role:

You shall possess relevant knowledge and experience in the monitoring of lending to corporate clients. You will be required to:-

• Anticipate developments and identify and monitor accounts that will require special attention,
• Work with stakeholders to devise appropriate strategy to deal with accounts that require special attention,  
• Manage the handling of the distressed accounts and negotiate to bring late or missed payment into line with terms, 
• Obtain sufficient information and performance statistics to assess the creditworthiness of accounts with special monitoring requirement, and  
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to management.   

Additionally, you will participate in portfolio stress tests and provide input to strengthen lending guidelines.

 

Qualification and Experience:

Candidates shall possess a recognised university degree with no less than 5 to 7 years’ relevant banking experience in credit control function with a full licensed bank.  Good communication and writing skills will be essential requisites for this post.

 

Candidates with good credit knowledge of the construction industry and practices will be favourably considered. Other desired attributes include ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
