As the Lead Support Analyst, Investment at Schroders, you will report into the IT Manager for Investment Support in Singapore and work alongside a team of Lead/Support Analysts responsible for the various production application and test application support functions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that incidents are correctly processed, assessing business and technical impact and severity. This includes retaining ownership of incidents that require offshore partner, 3rd Line or GT change activity to resolve.
  • Monitoring and management of business critical 24x7 real-time, legacy application, data handling and data delivery infrastructure to identify issues, trends and potential problem areas
  • Achieving to agreed SLA’s and OLA’s
  • Ensuring prompt communication to the business community
  • Working with the Support Manager to contribute to the continuous support improvement process
  • Proactively identify knowledge gaps within the team and undertake knowledge transfer sessions to improve team capability
  • Working with the Support Manager to identify recurring incidents, understand the business impact, find the root cause and recommend solution to prevent recurring incidents
  • Building strong relationship with the Agile Delivery and GT Infrastructure teams and undertake support activities as part of the project / change requests which includes Planning and Organisation, Verifying design from a support perspective, Testing Support Processes, UAT/Dress Rehearsal Support, Documentation, Knowledge Transfer to Support Teams and Implementation Support
  • Improving Global Support model through relationship building and process improvements whilst ensuring global alignment
  • Support UAT environments on as required basis.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following requisites:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or any other related disciplines
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in providing application support or application managed services
  • A strong knowledge of database concepts is essential
  • Enjoys solving problems in a real time environment such as a trading environment
  • Strong experience and working knowledge of application performance tuning, integration and testing
  • Certification in ITIL is an advantage
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communication in English
  • Enjoys working in a team environment and independently when require
  • Keen interest in developing a broad business and application/system knowledge base
  • Open to work on a rotation schedule among the team
  • Open to on call and weekend support
