Our client is one of the oldest and most reputable banks in Europe with a sizeable investment footprint in Asia. Their HR team in Singapore is a stable outfit led by a veteran of the banking industry and whom brings with her decades of HR experience and professionalism. A highly sought-after position has now opened within the team for a L&D Associate to drive the training and development needs of the bank.
This role reports directly to the Head of HR and places the incumbent in the enviable position of being mentored by one of the industry’s most experienced HR practitioners. You will be a sole contributor responsible for driving the training and learning initiatives of the bank’s talents. You will be involved in driving training needs analyses to identify capability gaps and thereafter work with vendors to deliver relevant training programs to upskill the workforce. You will also drive the adoption of digital learning technology and harness the power of connectivity to make e-learning accessible and seamless for all. In addition, you will be able to exercise creativity in designing and implementing learning programs to pro-actively enhance company performance through the adoption of future-forward skills (AI, Machine Learning, Negotiation, Social Marketing etc.)
You should be degree-educated from a well-ranked university and possess at least 5 years of experience in a Learning & Development function with exposure to digital learning and multimedia platforms. Relevant experience from the Banking or Financial Services industry would be advantageous but not necessary. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a given – as are resourcefulness and the ability to work independently.
