The Investment Counsellor is responsible for advising the clients to make wise investment after assessing their financial situation and suggesting them solutions that would ensure better returns and profits. IC should handle the inquiries of the clients and respond promptly by ensuring compliance with all the regulatory policies and procedures. Investment Counsellor, Retail Banking

The Investment Counsellor is responsible for advising the clients to make wise investment after assessing their financial situation and suggesting them solutions that would ensure better returns and profits. The role holder should be able to tap the potential clients and should be able to understand their requirements and execute them in a professional manner. IC should handle the inquiries of the clients and respond promptly by ensuring compliance with all the regulatory policies and procedures. IC may suggest the clients with various investment options that would help in reaching their financial goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customers with access to advanced investment product expertise
  • Develop and sharpen the team's investment expertise, working closely with the wealth product team and franchise.
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers on investment ideas, articulate investment concepts, create investment proposals
  • Meet and provide investment advisory to customers and formulate investment strategies that align with customer’s target strategic assets allocation.
  • Communicate portfolio updates and marketing strategy to clients.
  • To keep an eye on the changing market trends and to review and research for new investment options that would fit with the clients' requirements.
  • Conduct portfolio reviews, constantly monitor and track the changes in the financial conditions of the customer and based on reassessment suggest more effective investment solutions.
  • Address the inquiries of customers and respond promptly by ensuring compliance with all the regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Engage in investment educational workshops/training session for customers and bank personnel.
  • Keep abreast of products in the market
  • Ensure sales compliance with relevant internal and external policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure completeness and timeliness of documentation.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications from recognised institutions
  • Relevant CMFAS Qualifications
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in Retail or Priority Banking
  • Understanding of investment products across various business segments
  • Good management skill
  • Good written/verbal communication skills
