IT Project Manager
Senior IT Project Manager - Project Office

  • Manage portfolio of IT projects and hold overall responsibility and accountability for IT project management sponsored by various Business Units within the Bank.
  • Work in partnership with business users from various departments such as consumer banking, front office, operations and technology to deliver portfolio of projects in accordance with agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality.
  • Support transformation program delivery, in partnership with business stakeholders

Principal Role:

  • Establish project plans, resources, budgets and time-frames, and assign tasks
  • Manage project team members and their execution of project tasks
  • Provide regular status updates to senior stakeholders in IT and business units
  • Identify, track and communicate project progress, milestones, deliverables changes and dependencies within the schedule, costs, issues and risks
  • Coordinate project activities across multiple development, product management, user experience and QA teams in a matrix organisation
  • Secure acceptance and approval of deliverables or revisions to the project from the project sponsor and stakeholders
  • Manage vendor deliverables and relationship
  • Evaluate and recommend purchases of software packages, hardware and service vendors where appropriate
  • Ensure work deliverables are in compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Plan for and oversee preparation of documentation of each project phase (business requirements, functional specification, project plan, test strategy, test plan, etc), training and support in new/modified applications.



Qualifications
Domain Knowledge:


  • Knowledge of program and project management in IT
  • Knowledge of financial services, digital banking, risk management and/or treasury domains
  • Understanding of technical aspects of system integration in a mixed technology environment


Requirements:

  • Minimum 10~12 years in project management in IT in financial services organisations delivering projects exceeding S$ 5 mil and have stakeholders that span across at least 3 departments/divisions
  • Prior experience managing teams of at least 5 - 10 staff
  • Capable of managing several projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment
  • Tertiary (Degree) education required
  • Certification or formal training in project management is an advantage
  • Self-starter with excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management and team building skills
  • Strong stakeholder management works well across teams, business units such as sales, services, product, technology etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication including C-suite presentation skills. Ability to articulate concepts and complex ideas in clear and impactful manner.
  • Passionate about driving change, having a curious mind to challenge status quo and provide innovative solutions and different perspectives
  • Ability to resolve complex problems creatively
