IT Business Unit Sr Manager

This position is responsible for managing scrum teams of solution leads, business analysts, designers, developers and testers to Design, Develop and Deploy projects in Retail banking & Digital Domains for Global Consumer Bank in APAC region.

Responsibilities:

This Position with Build & Delivery Management Group is responsible for leading scrum teams to execute backlog based on priorities set by product owner/business, ensuring deliverables are on time with production quality

He/she is responsible to translate business demands into effective plans and integrated solutions that are aligned across teams.

Skills and work activities that support these responsibilities include:
  • Manage teams of highly motivated designers, developers and testers based in multiple geographical locations
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple work streams and managing without authority
  • Develop and implement best-in-class processes, metrics and practices
  • Manage partnership with business and external strategic vendors and ensure that the delivery is achieved within the defined quality and timeline
  • Manage identification of risks which impact delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed
  • Manage and track resources, review works to ensure high quality job to achieve customer satisfaction and service commitments
  • Conduct Agile ceremonies(Daily standup call, sprint retrospective, sprint planning, etc)
  • Provide leadership, development opportunities, performance management, development and succession-planning, staff communications, and positive interactive working environment to ensure the highest productivity and employee engagement
  • Driving the deliverables by interacting with applications, Business Solutions group, testing, PM and other support teams
  • Adhere to the Citigroup's compliance standards and ensure compliance for the applications supported


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education
  • Minimum of 15+ years of relevant experience preferably within an international technology organization in delivering complex projects across mainframe, middleware technologies, service-oriented architecture, microservices, APIs and cloud platforms
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile methodology, Project Management principles and software development lifecycle practices
  • Thorough understanding of the financial services industry preferably in both Retail banking & Digital Domains.
  • End-to-end comprehensive functional and technical knowledge of the entire Banking, Cards and Investments portfolio.
  • Ability to develop work plans and execute the same based on the functional requirement of the Business and the technical solution provided by the Product teams and
  • Familiarity with Agile Project Management and tools like RTC Work item management to track tasks, progress and burn down, BluePrint/Raptor for functional Design documentation, QC for defect recording and tracking.
  • Strong understanding of Traditional/Agile SDLC lifecycle and Test management, and relevant experience for the same
  • Strong experience working in a three-tier architecture environment.  
  • Strong working experience of Mainframe and Distributed applications integration. 
  • Prior Experience of delivering high quality strategic large scale projects/releases
  • Ability to manage staff working remotely across multiple locations
  • Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking and communication skills - must have ability to synthesize, develop and present clear and concise recommendations
  • Excellent relationship management skills
