ISSS Product Risk Asia Pacific - Senior Risk Manager - Senior Vice President
Key Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to Global ISSS Risk head with direct oversight from the APAC ISSS/PSRM Risk head
  • Ongoing independent risk oversight of Issuer Services, Direct Custody & Clearing and Custody & Funds Services businesses in Asia Pacific through participation in Deal Reviews, Product Committees, NPACs (new product), contract reviews, and fiduciary and other governance forums and committees
  • Partner with and challenge senior business management, including Product and Regional Business Heads and other first line business colleagues, including support and challenge related to the credit facilities and operating processes required for the products offered
  • Collaborate with second line partners in other Risk areas e.g. Operational Risk, Legal, Compliance and Counterparty Risk, to ensure second line holistic coverage of the ISSS businesses as well as with first line in-business risk colleagues
  • Interact with Citi regulators and Internal Audit as needed
  • Support ISSS Product Risk Head with regional coverage of all ISSS businesses
  • Represent ISSS Product Risk on various regional governance forums
  • Conduct periodic deep-dive into specific country or product on the basis of risk & control issues

Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Bachelor degree minimum
  • Working knowledge of Banking & Markets products, with experience of Direct Custody and Clearing, Custody and Fund Services, and Issuer Services a plus
  • Working knowledge of credit risk, Credit Officer qualifications a plus
  • Ability to efficiently dissect processes, front to back, with aim to identify risk and control gaps
  • Exposure to, and appreciation of working in, multiple Asia Pacific markets an advantage
  • Proven senior business engagement skills
  • Working knowledge of Clearing systems/Infrastructures and how they relate to Custody business
  • Experience interacting with Regulators
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to summarise issues in a succinct manner
  • Strong partnership and influencing skills as well as ability to confidently challenge business partners
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Self-starter able to execute and close out an issue in a timely manner
  • 7+ years banking experience.
