Position Overview

Role and Responsibilities:

Innovation and Project Management (IPM) mandate is to:

  • Manage and track change portfolio for WM APAC, working with business sponsors, partners and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business agenda and priorities.
  • Create and administer central framework for change management with clear and agreed processes for delivering projects and change across the entire project lifecycle.
  • Advance and support a collaborative and change embracing culture powered by the voice of customer
  • As part of innovation, to drive and improve front to back operational efficiencies and employee productivity through platform and process improvement initiatives.

The role of Business Program Manager sits within IPM and is responsible for effective coordination of the program's (various business domains) projects and management of their inter-dependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising. It also includes the coordination of the new capability for the business to enable effective change and realisation of projected benefits. This involves primarily:
  • Managing, designing and planning the delivery and change roadmap of the program
  • Managing the communication and relationship with all the stakeholders within the program
  • Project management of change and projects within the program
  • IPM is part of the WM APAC COO organisation.
  • Managing, designing and planning the delivery and change roadmap of the program
  • Design and manage change roadmap for the program, taking into account global/regional requirements / programs with a view of regional processes and impact.
  • Ensuring the delivery of new products or services from projects is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the program plan and program governance arrangements
  • Defining the program's governance arrangements
  • Facilitating the appointment of individuals to project teams
  • Managing third party contributions to the program
  • Managing both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects
  • Managing risks to the program's successful outcome
  • Managing the communication and relationship with all the stakeholders within the program
  • Project management of change and projects within the program
  • Business impact analysis, solution design and UAT preparation and coordination
  • Design and implement change, communication and training to users

Skills and Qualification
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams
  • Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques;
  • The ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems
  • Excellent verbal and written English and ability to tailor communication to various audiences
  • Proven experience with delivering front-office / products (investment, lending, etc) projects and working knowledge of its environment within the financial services industry
  • Experience in managing and working with delivery vendors
  • Working knowledge and experience with Avaloq is a plus
  • Must be a team player; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet competing/changing deadlines
  • Proficiency with MS Office Products: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
