Head, Retail Deposits, Consumer Banking Lead the development and maintenance of Retail Deposits business in accordance with management goals and direction in the areas of Deposits, including franchise development, balance growth and/or revenue generation

  • Formulate and guide business plans and monitor the progress of business plans.
  • Guide product development, including system development
  • Develop customer segmentation program within suite of product offering
  • Consult and strategize with management on Deposits pricing strategies.
  • Formulate and monitor business targets of Deposits business, with participation of Sales Management.
  • Overall Strategic oversight with responsibility of Profit & Loss and portfolio.
  • Identify, train and coach 2nd liners, to build bench strength for the various businesses.
  • Guide and provide direction for other relevant stakeholders such as Business Planning, Operations, Credit Management and Collections.
  • Manage balance sheet/Asset-Liabilities matters.
  • Work with Risk Management on portfolio optimisation strategies.
  • Ensure business efficiency and effectiveness subject to market environment and constraints


  • Degree in any discipline.
  • At least 10+ years of experience in similar role with supervisory experience in banking /financial industry
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Formulate clear vision of business and appropriate strategies
  • Integrate management goals and direction with vision of business and reality of environment
  • Deep understanding of the Deposits and Consumer Banking environment
  • Strong analytical skills, management skills and ability to negotiate outcomes
  • Ability to garner respect of stakeholders and build close relationships as well as understand issues on the ground
  • Strong leadership skills and excellent interpersonal skills
