HR Business Partner
As the HR Business Partner at Schroders, you will partner with our business functions in Singapore to deliver HR talent strategies, devise innovative solutions and advice on a wide spectrum of people issues. This includes handling employee relation matters advising and coaching managers & employees to prevent and resolve challenging workplace situations and also oversee hiring and be responsible for driving the personal and professional growth of Schroders employees. You will also drive the talent review process and year-end compensation review for the businesses under your portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Employee Lifecycle (Permanent, Contract & International Assignments)
  • Oversee the hiring of permanent & contract staff into Schroders Singapore and be directly involved with hiring of senior hires
  • Onboarding of new joiners on Day One
  • Follow up on onboarder report with new joiners
  • Conduct exit interviews for leavers
  • Managing process for cessation of employment
  • Manage global mobility process for assignees
  • Advise employees and business on entry/departure issues in relation to the Covid-19 restrictions


2. Talent Management
  • Drive Talent development plans & incorporate a talent development mentality
  • Facilitate the annual talent review & succession planning discussions


3. Learning & Development
  • Work with our HR Specialist team to deliver innovative learning solutions for the business
  • Support Training Needs Assessment for supported business areas - leverage core generic programmes, devise job specific technical & management / leadership sessions
  • Training Budget - Monitor the training budget for supported business units.


4. Compensation
  • Manage the Market Data review for the supported business units
  • Lead the year-end compensation review process for the supported business units
  • Keeping up date on market trends regarding compensation and proactively advice the business on potential hot spots


5. Employee Relations
  • Mediate in employee relations & grievance issues
  • Advise line managers on local labour laws


6. Systems & Processes
  • Ensure HR data integrity in all HR systems - Checker responsibility
  • Identify processes with potential for streamlining and efficiency gains


7. Headcount Budget
  • Support/drive in annual headcount budget exercise
  • Support in providing labour costing allocation


Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in HR in a MNC environment, preferably in a HR Business Partner role
  • Experience in managing and handling the end to end of employee life cycle.
  • Experience in working in a matrix reporting environment, both regionally and globally
  • Good working knowledge of Singapore labour laws, HR policies & best practice
  • Must possess initiative and resourcefulness to work and follow through issues independently with minimal guidance
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written and oral) and able to interact well with all levels of personnel (internal and external)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel is a plus
