The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) combines Deutsche Bank's Corporate Finance, Global Markets and Global Transaction Banking businesses. This new business division was created in 2017 with the aim to ensure greater alignment of product and sales efforts, enabling the bank to deliver a better service to clients and a more focused resource allocation.
Global Transaction Banking (GTB) is a leading global provider of cash management, trade finance and securities services, delivering the full range of commercial banking products and services for both corporates and institutions worldwide.

Position Overview

Institutional Cash Management (ICM) is a global leader in international payment clearing services to banks (correspondent banking) and Non Banking Financial Insitutions (NBFI), processing c. 300k high value / wire payments per day with a total value of c. EUR 1,000bn. ICM products enable other Financial Institutions to offer international payment services to their clients, thereby fulfilling a vital role in international trade. ICM is considered a market leader in capabilities, service and technology (#1 in 2015 Euromoney survey) and captures ~5% of global SWIFT traffic for cross-border commercial and treasury payments.

You will be responsible, for the management of Institutional Cash Management (ICM's) product suite into Client Management and Sales for the APAC Region. You will contribute to the strategic and tactical growth of ICM's bottom line from APAC financial institutions Clients and act as a strong bridge between Client Management and Sales, and Product Management whilst adhering to our operating model principles.

Key responsibilities:

  • Positioning the ICM product suite to the APAC Market
  • Contributing to the marketing plan for ICM
  • Contributing to the marketing launch plan for new solutions
  • Governing pricing including the exceptions process, while cooperating with Client Management and Sales, and Product Management
  • Managing the ICM deal approval process
  • Providing guidance for product collateral
  • Conducting presentations and product demonstrations (internal/external)
  • Identifying business growth opportunities and executing strategic and tactical campaigns and initiatives in the APAC region
  • Proactively compiling market updates and competitor profiles
  • Contributing to account planning exercises
  • Covering the APAC ICM region for all strategic ICM currencies, Financial Institution segments and related products

Key skills:
  • Educated to a Bachelor's degree level or similar
  • Experience in working in an international environment
  • Strong cash management or transaction banking experience
  • The ability to analyse business situations and identify new and/or enhanced business opportunities
  • A strong sense of compliance, regulatory requirements and risk management
  • The ability to build strong working relationships at all levels, including senior management
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines, handle multiple priorities and work as part of a team as well as individually
  • Strong client focus and “client first” attitude
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • Proactive, autonomous and a self-dependent working style and ability to integrate in a culturally diverse organisation
  • An effective and concise communicator, both verbal and written
  • Able to work in a challenging and rapidly changing business environment
