Position Description:

PIMCO is in the process of building a Global People Services (GPS) team to deliver a premium HR experience to PIMCO employees. PIMCO Global People Operations ("GPO") is creating a newly formed group within GPS and will be the first point of contact for employees and alumni to address immediate HR needs globally. Within this start-up, you will have the opportunity to help inspire change, improve client engagement, and deliver a premium HR experience to PIMCO employees.

What's the Role?

We are seeking a Global People Operations Associate to join this unique build-out. As our HR team undergoes a Workday implementation, this role will provide personalized support and solutions regarding HR processes and solve day to day workplace matters as they pertain to employees globally. You'll have an opportunity to participate in and manage projects to implement new technology, processes, procedures, and training that will shape the way the team operates now and in the future. You'll use your previous experience to handle more complex employee inquiries and propose solutions to new issues as they arise. You'll network across the different disciplines within HR and across the GPS team. Additionally, you'll be asked to contribute to the team's focus on continuous improvement by finding opportunities and supporting implementation of process and technology changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and execute on PIMCO's end-to-end HR business processes, including but not limited to those related to global benefits, payroll, mobility, and time-keeping.
  • Act as an escalation point for more complex inquiries and provide guidance to others on these issues
  • Identify process improvements and manage projects through conception to implementation
  • Process transactions in our HR systems and maintain data quality
  • Address the individual HR needs of employees and managers across the Asia Pacific region (including Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Taiwan), in line with PIMCO's policies; providing excellent customer service while doing so
  • Perform testing and documentation for HR systems and process improvements
  • Work cross-functionally to improve efficiency and consistently execute all HR business processes; effective at gathering and synthesizing information from multiple parties
  • Provide thoughtful, accurate and timely responses to HR colleagues and employees, managers, and business leaders
  • Provide inquiry-related data and insights on themes to improve the employee experience
  • Support further build out of GPS services & participation in implementation efforts


Position Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 3+ years of HR experience, Shared services experience is helpful
• Demonstrable ability to guide teammates on more complex issues and bring to successful resolution
• Experience running projects from proposal through implementation and to successful completion
• Affinity for technology, ability to think with a "tech mindset," and interest in HR technologies such as ServiceNow & Workday
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow, PeopleSoft, and/or Workday
• Confirmed ability to provide excellent customer service
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally and appropriately
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
• Strong critical evaluation skills - ability to identify the root causes of problems through an expanded, holistic view vs. looking at smaller, discrete parts or at symptoms in isolation
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple work streams simultaneously
• Willingness to embrace new HR technologies and changing processes
