Specific responsibilities include:

1. Regulatory Liaison & Interaction:

Coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries, surveys and periodic reports as needed, answer ad hoc queries from the regulator and coordinate with relevant business units and compliance counter-parts
Coordinate regulatory examinations with relevant business units and compliance counter-parts

2. Regulatory Change Management:

Track, analyze and disseminate regulatory changes
Follow up with impacted business units / functions to ensure impact assessment, action plans and documentation
Drive regulatory change analysis and process for changes impacting multiple businesses and functions

3. Compliance Program & Activities:

Coordinate compliance programs 
Assist Country Compliance Officer and Central Compliance Lead in execution of compliance initiatives

4. Compliance Support for Global Functions:

Provide compliance support for Global Functions

5. Enterprise-wide compliance coordination:

Provide coordinated cross- functional support
Develop and maintain strong partnerships with peers and colleagues in Compliance and other Global Functions in support of strengthening our compliance culture

6. Framework, Policies & Procedures:

Establish, maintain, monitor and ensure implementation of the Personal Data Protection framework (including policies, guidelines and administering training) across Citi Singapore

7. Compliance Advice & Support:

Advise on all personal data related matters (e.g. impact on new initiatives, cross border initiatives and projects) to ensure compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (including recommendations on best practices)
Keep abreast of new and changes in data laws and regulations, and advise the business functions accordingly

8. Statutory Data Privacy Officer:

Act as a contact point for the Personal Data Protection Commission to address complaints, queries etc on data privacy
Address questions and requests from the Personal Data Protection Commission 


  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in the financial sector, with prior experience in compliance, or auditing of banks or control function
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate with senior management, and be able to work under pressure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong planning, organization and project management skills
  • Independent and meticulous with attention to details
  • Ability to execute multiple tasks at the same time
  • Proactive execution of priorities and goals
  • A recognized University Degree in Accountancy, Business or Banking and Finance
  • Relevant professional qualification in financial services or audit
  • Competent regulatory background, with knowledge in MAS regulations, Banking Act, Companies Act, Anti-Money Laundering and Countering of Financing of Terrorism, Personal Data Protection Act
