Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Risk Assessments and Security and Safety Policy management
  • Assist the ASM to conduct periodic and scheduled facilities Risk Assessments in accordance to Citi Security and Fire Safety Policy and Procedures as well as provide comments to the ASM and CSIS management in a timely manner. This includes but not limited to threat and risk assessments of specific venues, residences, branches, and any other Citi facilities as necessary
  • Assist the ASM in providing various Citi businesses with specifically requested risk assessments, annual self-assessments and other risk aversion and risk management analysis
  • Advice business on the various Security and Safety Policy requirements to ensure compliance to the policies
  • Assist business in raising any Policy Exceptions as required and conduct assessments as to whether risks associated with the exceptions have been addressed adequately
  • Interact with other departments on issues involving building infrastructure and operations. Conduct risk assessments of proposed new sites before the business makes a final decision on the location
Security and Safety Operations:
  • Implement security operations in accordance with Citi business objectives, including oversight of information security, asset protection, access control, executive protection, EXPAT staff security, evacuation plans and other appropriate Citi policies as required
  • Implement and manage physical protection standards and fire safety standards and policy as mandated by Citi standards and policy
  • Ensure that security equipment (e.g., CCTV, card access, alarms, etc.) is functional and properly maintained. Monitor the effectiveness of installed security and safety systems to ensure that they conform to Citi current policy
  • Direct the activity of security & safety coordinators of the various Citi businesses
  • Conduct periodic security and safety trainings as appropriate or as requested by local staff as to various aspects of Citi security & safety policies
  • Oversee the security operations of external security officers engaged to protect Citi facilities
  • Ensure that corrective measures are carried out to minimize risk in security areas such as fire and safety, access control, etc. when such exceptions are reported or detected through inspections and audits
  • Ensure that all key issues with regard to security & safety incidents, threats, and theft are promptly followed up and reported as per Citi requirements
  • Provide assistance as required to the global pre-employment and vendor screening process
  • Assist with the planning, preparation and execution of Executive protection details and event security and activities as required and assigned
  • Management of security guarding and security system vendors under CSIS
Project Management:
  • Manage the security project budget and ensure that expenses in relation to security installations are maintained within approved limits and that security expenses are approved in advance by the ASM
  • Work closely with the ASM on the development of the project security budget
  • Monitor and manage security expenses and provide timely inputs on significant or unexpected variances
  • Work closely with the Finance and Operations support officer assigned in the country for monitoring of expenses, calculation of allocations, budget preparation, flash reports and matters concerning project finance administration
  • Manage offices / branches / Data Center security projects and attend project meetings as directed by the ASM
CoB and Emergency:
  • Ensure that there are adopted procedures to ensure that all security personnel are trained to respond adequately to emergency situations
  • Participate in the planning and execution and exercise of the Continuation of Business (CoB) plan as necessary and required
  • Assist to maintain appropriate and timely communications with the Regional Command Centre as necessary on any emergency or security related incidents
  • Assist in gathering information and provide advice to the ASM and manage security and safety operations in response to a potential or actual security or fire related event or crisis
Audit, Compliance and Control:
  • Assist in implementing MCA program and ensure that all testing and evidence documentations are maintained as required
  • Provide support to Business departments during their audits related to security, card access and fire safety matters
  • Interact with other departments on issues involving the security function e.g. Branch managers, and etc.


  • Possess a general degree
  • Possess strong leadership ability
  • Preferably with ex-law enforcement, auxiliary police or military experience
  • Have strong communication and written skills
  • Have strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office and Outlook
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Preferably 2 years of security experience in the banking industry
  • At least 4 years of knowledge and experience in Security Management, Security operations, security audit, Incident and crisis Management and Security System Planning
  • Have experience in conducting security and safety risk assessment
