Roles and Responsibilities

The  Sales and Distribution function within Citi APAC & EMEA is undergoing a significant and rapid evolution to ensure we stay leading edge and future fit. This includes pooling our Relationship Managers in Wealth Hubs; ensuring they have access to a deep bench of specialist support, world class products, sales & advice tools and development programs; driving more effective sales management practice; and reconfiguring our branch ecosystem & sales processes to enable high quality remote engagement with customers wherever possible.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Reporting to Regional Head of S&D Branch Sales, this role is to provide leadership in hiring, developing, coaching and performance management of branch & hubbed sales teams across 17 markets.
  • Lead in country sales productivity initiatives as required.
  • Build appropriate support and monitoring metrics for sales team Heads and BMs.
  • Proactively monitor and manage key drivers such as FTE, per person productivity, portfolio margin and average ticket size.
  • Ownership and execution of performance management tools and programs.
  • Develop, communicate and implement S&D business strategies that produce sustainable business growth, high profitability & deepen existing client relationships. 
  • Drive Productivity Initiatives across the Branch network and associated hubs, being fully accountable for frontline productivity & metrics.
  • Rapid adoption of daily disciplined sales management across the branch network, and this includes equipping and motivating the branch managers/team leads.
  • Own the execution and usage of sales tools i.e. RM & BM dashboards.
  • Develop and execute high impact regional sales campaigns, in close collaboration with the regional product teams.
  • Lead our RM CentriCiti initiatives, and develop lively community engagement forums and relevant career path programs for branch sales teams.
  • Identify and drive impactful and continuous experience improvements for RMs/PBs as well as customers by streamlining, simplifying and digitizing sales and service processes.
  • Provide ad hoc support on key regional S&D change initiatives and input to the development and maintenance of a robust and high quality control environment within the branch organization.
  • Work with Sales performance team on setting sales targets and appropriate variable incentive programs.
  • Work with training team to identify training gaps and to provide SME support on branch training programs.
  • Reporting and management of sales roles attrition.
  • Work with Regional compliance to periodically asses the sales control and compliance guidelines.


Qualifications

The ideal Candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Tertiary qualified in either business or finance related discipline.
  • 10 years+ financial industry experience in frontline sales with sound sales leadership experience.
  • Wealth Management/financial markets experience is required.
  • Strong background and proven track record in sales management in a multi-national retail bank environment, product and P&L management experience is preferred.
  • Capable of leading high performing teams through a growth phase
  • Focuses on performance, and consistently achieves results even under tough circumstances and holds self and others accountable to meet commitments.
  • Experience in more than one market or in a regional/global role is preferred.
  • Ability to work and make decisions independently as well as collaborate effectively as part of a wider team.
  • Ability to influence others and excellent stakeholder management skills is required.
  • Willingness to work across time zones with global and regional teams.
  • Previous experience in Product Management and P&L management within the financial industry is preferred
