Description

Job Purpose:
  • Managing the profitability, product details, approvals, stakeholder management and vendor management for Credit shield business- APAC and EMEA
  • Building transparency, providing financial analytical support on VONB management and building understanding within the insurance community (region and country) for the AIA relationship
  • Providing Product level analytical support, experience management aligning to value targets, competitive benchmarking and identifying gaps and opportunities with focus on the top 25 products in the region.
Key Responsibilities:

Credit shield Management
  • Manage the profitability and product design in accordance to Global product chassis
  • Relationship management with business partners and reinsurers across APAC and EMEA.
  • Drive product performance remediation with global, regional and country business and controls stakeholders
  • Lead and provide direction and assistance in product design, development, pricing competitiveness based on global and regional requirements and in conjunction with Citi internal product and provider approval process.
  • Regional coordination and management for accounting attestation and profit share based on Regional Coordination Agreement. 
Product and VONB Experience Analytics and management support
  • Support the Asia Insurance Team in the review of VONB analysis, identifying strategic and tactical actions required to improve product mix and performance
  • Building transparency, providing financial analytical support on VONB management and building understanding within the insurance community (region and country) for the AIA deal
  • Review the integrity and analyze country level and regional product plans and product mix, identifying gaps and opportunities
  • Trend and experience analysis on product mix and financials
  • Drive simplicity in product design- Product segment underwriting analysis
  • Support the Asia Insurance Team (in close collaboration with insurance partner) in building a product database and competitor benchmarking
Product Development and Management - top 25 products
  • Review the top 25 products across markets and develop roadmap to leverage across markets. Ensure we maintain their competitiveness and are easy to buy and simple to sell
  • Providing Product level analytical support, experience management aligning to value targets, competitive benchmarking and identifying gaps and opportunities with focus on the top 25 products in the region.
  • Support the Asia Insurance Team in the design, review, implementation and evolution of regional product mix, palettes by channel and segment for the insurance partnerships
  • Rapidly expand these design principles and best practice for regional application across Citi's consumer business- concepts and design that can be implemented across markets.
  • Develop and expand insurance solutions including sharing/implementing global/regional best practices


Qualifications

The ideal Candidate will meet the following requirements:
  • Qualified actuary (8-12 years' total experience, 3-5 post qualifying)
  • Strong end-to end product development skills. Product development includes pricing, design, service & distribution, underwriting, claims management.
  • Strong analytic and finance modeling skills: product strategy, business planning, and financial results (valuation), MIS, pricing
  • Good understanding across insurance products. Exposure to Credit shield business preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, trouble shoot, and influence stake holders across functions and countries.
  • Highly organized and commercially savvy
  • Strong communications (verbal, written, PowerPoint) and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to operate in a matrix environment
  • Multi-market experience preferred with demonstrated provider and re-insurer networks
