Description

The Direct Sales Head Singapore will be responsible for sales and distribution of financial products to the Mass, Emerging Affluent and Affluent customer segments via direct sales. Key products include Credit Cards, Personal Loans, Credit Insurance, Overdraft Accounts and Banking Accounts for the Emerging Affluent (Citi Priority) and Affluent (Citigold) for Citibank Singapore Consumer Bank. In addition, the incumbent will also be responsible for the coordination of customer acquisition marketing activities for the Direct Sales platform across various channels such as Branches, Roadshows and Citi-At-Work (Workplace Banking) and ensure coordination with Sales Support functions, Cards & Loan, Retail Banking Branches, Risk and Client Experience to facilitate customer acquisition and sales.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Oversee entire sales management performance and operations of Direct Sales and coordination of customer acquisition marketing activities
  • Manage a large team of Direct Sales and Roadshow Management Unit and ensure sales targets are met
  • Plan, develop and execute effective sales management plans to achieve the acquisition and sales targets
  • Plan and drive new innovative ideas in improving the direct sales opportunities, customer engagement strategies and sales productivity
  • Coordinate customer acquisition marketing activities with other Departments across the bank as well as other acquisition and sales channels within Sales & Distribution.
  • Coach and motivate the sales management team to create a highly motivated, engaged and energized sales atmosphere. Monitor and maintain sales discipline
  • Ensure compliance and consistency with the bank's policies and local regulatory guidelines
  • Responsible for staffing quality and sales capacity, staff retention and career development plans for sales staff.
  • Cultivate a professional working atmosphere that encourages career development and reduces staff attrition
  • Cultivate strong customer service and fair dealing culture, ensure awareness and adoption among the sales teams and be responsible for the relevant early engagement Net Promoter Scores across all customer segments
  • Plan and set monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets
  • Prepare necessary reports for tracking of key performance indicators


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in any field
  • At least 10-15 years of demonstrated sales track record with the last 8 years in a sales management role in relevant sales environment (Banking, Insurance, major FMCGs)
  • Able to plan and execute sales strategies and projects
  • Strategic thinking and able to generate new ideas
  • Good leadership and sales management skills
  • Adaptable to a dynamic environment with multiple key performance indicators.
