Job Purpose:
APAC has a total of 12.7MM unsecured borrowers. The total unsecured lending business has a USD2.9B revenue and USD27B revolving and instalment ANR.  The lending product coverage of this position includes cards lending, in form of revolving and instalment balances, ready credit and unsecured personal loan.
The APAC Lending Head is responsible for driving Citi's continued leadership in APAC's lending portfolio, achieve growth and financials targets for APAC.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure APAC delivers the financial targets including revenue, expense, NCL and other key financial ratios within the lending businesses
  • Develop a differentiating lending strategy for APAC.  Build top of mind preference, create unique value propositions and growth market share
  • Develop/enhance existing products to meet market needs, anticipate future market movements
  • Enable multi distribution channels for loan booking especially on digital front
  • Develop regional marketing programs to create awareness
  • Deploy state of the art analytics and big data/latest technology to support ANR build through increasing share of wallet, ANR gating and win back
  • Develop and enhance appropriate risk reward appetite for the region, benchmarking market performance as well as loss absorption abilities
  • Ensure consistent application and enforcement of appropriate risk appetite, credit processes and compliance controls in all markets
  • Ensure full alignment on sales/branch incentive to drive most optimal acquisition results
  • Design, develop, implement and drive digital transformation in lending space
  • Ensure markets have sufficient talent and bench strength. Enable rotation in the markets for talent recruit and retention
  • Engage closely with global and other regions on lending business development and exchange
  • Ensure APAC lending business fully complies with global and local regulatory requirements


The ideal Candidate will meet the following requirements:
  • At least 15+ years of experience, holding various senior positions in business previously
  • Has complete understanding on key drivers for financials and market share growth
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Marketing and analytical skills
  • A strategic thinker with strong business planning skills
  • Results oriented and strong persuasion/communication skills
  • Strategic, analytical and able to make decisions independently

  • Travel as required
