Franchise Expense Analyst - Assistant Vice President
Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis and Business Management:
  • Be part of a team to assess and drive expense management with businesses in Singapore through leading management information, analytics and metrics and partner businesses in achieving business and financial goals
  • Help to compile monthly financial expenses pack for FP&A Seniors and Businesses
  • Prepare and analyze monthly expense tracking against target, solicit commentary from businesses and provide insight into areas of over/ under performance
  • Prepare and consolidate monthly business and country performance reporting and other reviews/ presentations
  • Review and analyze allocations to ensure equitable cost distribution across businesses
  • Assist in all forward looking deliverables including annual budget/ CCAR/ IWST/ ICAAP
  • Constantly look out for 'spend smart' initiatives for the business to identify expense opportunities to improve business performance and enhance productivity
  • Improve controls/ simplify processes
  • Partner with controllers to ensure completeness and accuracy of P&L and data quality and play key interface role with other functional areas

  • Able to demonstrate relevant prior experience in leading and delivering key responsibilities and initiatives
  • Able to demonstrate understanding of the banking business and to display high-level ability to navigate effectively cross products and functions
  • Prior experience of working within Finance, preferably FP&A
  • Broad experience of working within Finance in a highly matrixed global financial services firm

  • Strong communications skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) at all organizational levels
  • Demonstrated strength in detailed financial analysis
  • Results/ task-oriented with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage and prioritize effectively and resolve conflicting priorities
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and autonomously
  • Excellent MS Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Self-starter who takes the initiative to create and deliver enhancements
  • Integrity, maturity, dependability and a positive professional attitude

  • Excellent academic record with a numerical background
