Provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports. Develop and maintain accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. Prepare general ledger, financial reporting for the management and quarterly audit documents. Support the Finance Controller regarding budget and forecast activities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Full spectrum of financial accounting and finance matters
  • In charge of all MAS reporting, assist in HO reporting (including monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and other adhoc reporting from HQ)
  • Maintain Chart of accounts, reports and prepare JVs  for month-end closing
  • Take charge of report automation
  • Liaising with tax consultants, auditors, regulators, corporate secretary, external actuary
  • Keep abreast of the changes in MAS Insurance Act to ensure full compliance with MAS


  • Degree in Accounting, Finance
  • 3 - 5 years accounting experience in general insurance accounting & MAS reporting
  • Proficient in internal controls, preparing MAS returns and Financial Statements
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office especially in Excel including pivot tables
  • Hand-on experience in SAGE ACCPAC
  • Dedicated and keen to learn
