My client is a renowned MNC in the manufacturing industry and currently looking for a Finance Controller APAC with ten year's plus experience to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible to supervise and manage the finance team in APAC subsidiaries. She/He will be required to support their Region Strategic development overall and review and approve all financial data for Asia.

The role is required to supervise their Asia's legal & IT activities. She/He will be responsible to deploy best practices in terms of internal control and Finance on the perimeter.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Financial Controlling for the APAC region

● Coordinate the financial closing and budget process

● Control the financial performance of all subsidiaries

● Responsible for all financial data provided to the Group

● Responsible for processes and timely reporting

● Coordinate projects closely with Group Controlling

2. Monitor the Profitability within APAC region

● Control the evolution of margins & prices (including FX rate)

● Follow up subsidiaries financial results

● Follow up Action plan

● Control investments & overheads

● Working capital optimization

3. Finance Director for Asia

● Supervise, control and manage all aspects in:

○ Accounting (including coordination with audit firms)

○ Controlling (performs analysis and comments of activity and results)

○ Reporting on finance and activity (data accuracy and consistency, respect of deadline, …) ○ Budgeting (process and follow-up)

● Treasury management (cash management, credit insurance, bank conditions follow-up, ...) ● Risk management assessment and Insurance

● Deployment of Group credit policies toward dealers and end-customers

● Taxes return and compliance

○ Investments analysis and follow-up

○ Relations with banks, accounting companies, and auditors

○ Statutory report and tax preparation

● IT management:

○ Management of local IT infrastructure (hardware/software)

○ Coordinate with Group IT

○ Negotiation with Software providers

○ Responsible for the company’s ERP

● Responsibility for Company Secretariat matters

4. Internal Control Management (APAC)

● Key contact for internal audit team on internal control issues

● Deployment of their Group internal control processes, and supervision of the proper implementation

● Implementation of further ad-hoc internal control when necessary

● Review and follow up on the audit report

5. Ad-hoc projects

● Participate or lead projects

Knowledge and Skills Required:

● Min 10 years of relevant working experience in Finance, Controlling and Accounting in comparable industries, with substantial experience with sales channel management and services

● Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulation (local GAAP and IFRS)

● Ability to plan and manage both strategic and operational levels

● Established contacts and relationships with potential customers and channel partners

● Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners

- Experience in managing multicultural teams

● Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a result-driven, team-oriented environment

● University graduate with a major in Accounting/MBA
