Role Summary:
This role is in CPM Group for XVA Program. The program aims to deliver a flexible, scalable and robust Quartz-based platform, capable of computing the economic impact and associated risk for Credit Valuation Adjustment (CVA), Funding Valuation Adjustment (FVA) and Capital Valuation Adjustment (KVA), for all Over the Counter (OTC) derivatives across all asset classes, on a daily /overnight basis

The successful candidate will be required to become proficient in the tools and methods of the team in a short space of time and will be expected to make an ongoing contribution to improving the design, performance and auditable quality of the overall solution using Quartz Framework. Quartz is an integrated front-to-back position management, pricing, risk management and sales/trading system for all financial instruments across all business lines. Quartz is the strategic technology platform for all development in the team.

The successful candidate will work closely with the business users and other stakeholders. He/she needs to be hands-on and be able to perform within a busy and pressure environment.


  • Developing software in Python and associated technologies using the Quartz platform
  • Participating fully in the development process through the entire software lifecycle
  • Responsible for providing specific, measurable and accurate estimates on short timescales in an intellectually challenging environment
  • Work as part of a global development team, to ensure that global tools and technologies are leveraged

Work experience:
  • 5+ years' experience as a developer on trading and risk platforms for Derivatives and FX products
  • Experience with the investment banking industry
  • Understanding of trade lifecycle, pricing, yield curve, trading risk, P&L, valuation, credit & market risk management, reference and market data

Technical skills:
  • Must possess programming skills in Java/C++/Python
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into technical requirements

Personal skills:
  • Excellent verbal/written communications skills
  • Problem solving skills both Technical and Business related
  • Possess interpersonal, team work and motivational skills
