Astignes Capital is a Singapore-based alternative investment management firm with a focus on macro and relative value opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region, and primarily investing in interest rate and foreign exchange markets.

Opportunity

Astignes Capital’s Derivatives Trader Development Program is a full-time, twelve-month program that provides intensive, on-the-job training, coupled with coursework tailored to individual backgrounds, with the aim of developing individuals with comprehensive derivatives knowledge, quantitative analytical abilities, and the trading skills necessary to positively contribute to the firm’s investment process.  The successful candidate will rotate through the firm’s Risk Management team and Portfolio Management teams during the program.

Upon completion of the program, there will be an opportunity to graduate to a full-time position as a trading analyst on a Portfolio Management team.

Requirements

  • A clear preference for consistently making timely, robust data-driven decisions
  • A sharp eye for numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • A high degree of personal diligence focused on consistently delivering tangible results by identifying, prioritizing and engaging investment opportunities
  • Track record of working well in teams, and building solid working relationships
  • Demonstrated curiosity to learn and improve quantitative and coding skills
  • An undergraduate and graduate degree in a highly numerate field including Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Econometrics, Computer Science or Quantitative Finance
  • Strong coding skills, including demonstrated ability with statistical and database software including R, Python, SQL and VBA
