As part of the Regulatory Change Team, take the lead for certain Compliance topics or themes across ‘upstream’ and ‘downstream’ work.

As part of the Regulatory Change Team, take the lead for certain Compliance topics or themes across ‘upstream’ and ‘downstream’ work. 
Upstream work includes:

  • monitoring developments in Singapore regulation which might come from , e.g. changes in legislation or industry standards; or fines and other penalties;
  • analysing how these changes impact the Bank and its business; and
  • ensure that stakeholders, including management, are appropriately informed of changes and their impact.

Downstream work includes:

  • Developing and maintaining policies and procedures for Singapore specific requirements, as well as minimum standards for the region (APAC ex-Japan);
  • Developing  and delivering quality training materials for new regulatory requirements, key policy changes, or event-driven topics;
  • Driving regulatory implementation projects, either as a work-stream lead or project manager.
  • For all work, proactively engage and collaborate with stakeholders in- and outside of Compliance to achieve the best results.
  • Provide advice and support to other units in Singapore and the region to assist in implementation of policies, procedures and training.
  • Other responsibilities relating to the function and management of Asian Compliance Office instructed by ACO Management or HOD/Deputy Head of Regulatory Compliance from time to time.

Job requirements:

  • Degree from a recognized institution
  • Experience in General Compliance / Regulatory Change within a bank, or from consultancy firm is advantageous.
  • At least 3 - 5 years of work experience in Compliance.
  • A roll up your sleeves and get it done leadership style, marked by a highly motivated and attention to detail ability
  • Possess the right level of confidence in order to advise the business and support units of Singapore Branch as well as Management
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
