Contract & Partner Manager, Program Office
Job Responsibilities/Requirements:

Reporting to the Head of Program Office, the Contract and Partner Manager is part of the digital transformation Program Office team who performs a dual function in two key functional areas:

I) Partner Management
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships among business partners while developing strategies to increase efficiency and delivery capabilities
    • Manage the ongoing relationship with key digital platform delivery partners to ensure contractual obligations are met to optimise the effectiveness of the partnership
    • Manage and drive engagement with and leverage vendor programs from the key ISV partners to create and extract benefit for M1's Digital Transformation program

II) Contract Management
    • Ensure deliverables of the key Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), lead System Integrator and UX/UI Developers are being executed and operationalised as per contract
    • Working with key internal stakeholder functions as appropriate to capture requirements for new SoWs and support the "lifecycle" management of the contract.
    • Provide advice and guidance to the different teams relating to contract execution

Key Responsibilities

The Contract and Partner Manager will provide support to the Head of Program Office and wider M1 cross functional teams in the following areas:

I) Partner Management
    • Maintain an overall view and ownership of key elements of the relationship between M1 and the Key ISV & SI Partners
    • Take ownership of partner engagement issues at a program level
    • Develop Partner Certification and Technology Specialisation programs as required
    • Promote the utilization and standardisation of engagement processes, systems and procedures that support the business
    • Leverage partner programs across innovation, training, support and delivery in line with digital transformation strategy to optimise effectiveness and capabilities
    • Support Digital Office leads in building training plans for technology programs with partners
    • Support all lines of business in their engagement with key partners as an overlay function
    • Identify opportunities to improve business processes and devise plans to implement changes
    • Identify cost reduction initiatives and/or drive business capabilities improvements through the Partner Certification and Technology Specialisation programs
    • Ensure key partner engagement issues are owned through to resolution
    • Develop framework for key partner performance reviews between Digital Office and partner teams to review joint activities, delivery performance, roadmap etc.

II) Contract Management
    • Knowledge of the contract back to front so that the right delivery, performance and pricing models can be applied to ensure the partner successfully delivers the goods and/or services
    • Excellent understanding of the business and how the services should be delivered to support and improve the business
    • Represent Digital Office in Commercial & Contractual discussion with M1 Finance and Procurement teams in matters pertaining to key Partner contracts & deliverables
    • Support the commercial development for SoWs in line with overall contract and in conjunction with program management and procurement teams where appropriate
    • Support partnership contract audits with Procurement & Finance
    • Support procurement teams pricing analysis where appropriate
    • Work with Digital Office leads to track M1 contractual commitments versus actual consumption in areas of professional services, license consumption, platform utilisation (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)
    • Work with respective Digital Office team members to ensure ownership and accountability in reviewing deliverables before signing off on partner payments
    • Ensure delivery expectations are set realistically and milestones achieved
    • Subject matter and industry expertise to champion the supplier effectively and set expectations within M1 organisation about what the contract can realistically deliver
    • Understand the operational and financial risks to protect the business
    • Create, prepare, and review partner performance reports for input to partner performance meetings

Key Requirements
  • Degree in business, economics, finance, or a related practical experience
  • 3-5 years' experience in a related field
  • Previous experience of working in a telco / mobile environment is preferred
  • Understanding of contract structure and execution and IT project delivery
  • Experience working with independent software vendors and systems integrators
  • Good communications and relationship management skills
  • Ability to
    • Communicate across business units and management levels to deliver to common goals
    • Prioritise and escalate in a timely and structured manner
    • Multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Able to:
    • Work as part of a virtual and geographically dispersed team
    • Be flexible and can accept change in fast paced environment
    • Deal with ambiguity
  • Possess business acumen and exemplify creative analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Meticulous with good organisational & planning skills
  • Good computer skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Good presentations skills with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Capable of professionally managing confidential information
