Content and Proposal Manager, Transaction Banking

The Global Content Manager is a key member of the Transaction Banking (TB) Global Content and Proposal Management team. The remit of the team is to drive, build and deliver superior quality client facing content, not limiting to Request for Proposal (RFPs), Request for Information (RFIs) RFIs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) and Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs).

Key Roles & Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Sales and Product teams to create high quality, client centric content to support new/retention business
  • Review and edit content to clearly articulate our competitive strengths and increase win rates
  • Drive and maintain standards on all deliverables and identifies, develops and utilises best practices including consistency, clarity and tone
  • Own ongoing style/tone developments - including 'voice' and visuals through guidelines and templates
  • Support the development and maintenance of a content library (within a database management called Qvidian and online content on SharePoint) for the delivery of market leading proposals and presentations
  • Assist to drive a programme of content ownership with subject matter experts, proactively managing the relationships to ensure the accuracy, relevance and quality of content in the library; ensure an effective content management process, including the regular review and refresh of content as per agreed schedules
  • Create, review, edit and manage content delivery and accuracy on Qvidian and SharePoint in line with brand standards
  • Work closely with Graphic Design team to drive awareness and updates on SharePoint through the delivery of bi-weekly newsletter, roadshows, townhalls and other internal communication initiatives
  • Communicate latest product developments and content updates to the sales and proposal teams for use in client pitches
  • Track and report on site metrics and trends for Qvidian and SharePoint
  • Taking ownership of Content Library to:
    • Prepare and maintain documented processes on the use and administration of the system
    • Assist in driving the most efficient use of the system both within the team and the broader community
    • Become the liaison person for the system with the vendor and relevant parties within the Bank (eg. IT, GTO, Compliance, etc.) for technical and other issues
    • Assist to brief and train users of the system whenever required


Strategic Objectives

As the owner of the library of client facing content, you will constantly be looking to develop content that:
  • Clearly aligns with the business and group objectives
  • Is easy for clients to understand
  • Highlights our 'value add'
  • Looks fresh and innovative
  • Ensure that SalesPoint is the one-stop-shop for CIB

You will also be looking for new ways to present/deliver content, whether in written form or other - i.e. leveraging new technology or styles - to clearly demonstrate that Standard Chartered is a market leader in all ways.

Through your internal network and relationships, you will be expected to hold all levels to the same level of excellence - driving best practice across the entire CIB organisation.

Key Behavioural Competencies

  • Journalism, editorial or agency experience an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written in Chinese and English

Skills/Experience
  • A degree holder, preferably in Banking, Finance or Business/Marketing Management, along with a minimum of 3 - 5 years of work experience in financial services or related field
  • Minimum of five years' experience in content management or related field.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite (in particular MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel) - essential
  • Transaction Banking knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with SharePoint and/or Qvidian experience is preferred
