What you'll do
Work with CFS Compliance team to develop data driven solutions to improve efficiency of Compliance processes.
Support development, execution and refinement of automated systems for Sales Surveillance and detection/validation of suspicious transactions.
Support adhoc reporting requests from the Compliance team.
Provide thought leadership to Compliance team so they can visualize how data led techniques - such as machine learning - could significantly change the way that Compliance Operates.
Be the GCAD expert on Compliance related data matters.

Develop Data Driven Solutions to improve Compliance efficiency
Support the CFS Compliance team with data analytics support to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
Develop an automated Sales Surveillance system applying predefined rules to identify potentially abnormal sales behaviours.
Development of an automated system to identify and validate potentially Suspicious Transactions based on past customer behaviour. This can be done on an ongoing daily basis - as well as responding to periodic or adhoc requests.
Support regular and adhoc reporting for AML team, Ops Risk & other compliance teams around areas such as customer onboarding, PDPA statistics and product/channel related statistics.
Act as a thought leader for Compliance related analytics. Demonstrate how advanced analytics techniques - such as machine learning - could move Compliance beyond hardcoded rules type monitoring.
Regular interaction with compliance teams to understand their business challenges. Proactive recommendation on how you think analytics could help them achieve their goals.

Qualifications
What you bring

General Knowledge & Experience:
Understanding of banking, insurance or financial services preferred
Understanding of the role of analytical marketers
Exposure to data management and analysis functions

Programming & Data:
Exposure to database or analytical marketing functions.
Some prior exposure to analytical software tools of leading analytical software tools (such as SAS / SPSS / R / Spark); leading database environments (Oracle / Teradata / Hadoop / SQL); reporting tools (Qlikview / Tableau / Cognos) and/or contact management platforms (Siebel / Pega).
Ability to analyse, identify, visualize and describe key trends within large datasets
Machine learning, statistical modeling, visualization

Communication & Soft Skills:
Curiosity & a real passion for understanding "why?"
Creativity to see possibilities within the data & translate into decisions and actions for non-technical business users.
Ability to visualise patterns arising out of data analysis and turn these into compelling stories.
