  • 5+ years of work experience covering strategic partnerships with suppliers and service providers
  • Able to speak, read and write Mandarin as this role will require extensive dealings with partners in China
  • Experience doing a start up role or working in a start up environment/ team is useful but not a must

 

Our client is a b2b marketplace and trade platform connecting international business partners for a seamless cross –border trade. This is  a funded start up  seeded by a renowned/global investment firm.

 

In this business critical role, you will be a key member of the Strategic Partnerships team managing the relationships with its Chinese service providers based in China.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of strategic partnerships projects and process improvement initiatives for the firm
  • Identify, reach out to, engage and maintain strategic partnerships 
  • Be the point of contract with all our partners on all matters such as business proposal drafting and review, deal & commercial contracts negotiation, trend analysis, business platform and process review
  • Develop and subsequently review / track these KPIs for these commercial initiatives
  • Conduct research, analysis and assessment of businesses' viability guided by set of processes and algorithms
  • Conduct market sizing and market assessment analyses
  • Gather and analyze business and financial data for potential business expansion
  • Build, update and maintain overall financial model & financial projections for the firm, working with the executive team as needed

 

Ideal Candidate requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in management consulting, business development, strategic partnerships, B2B or e-commerce industry
  • Good understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Has the required experience managing strategic partnerships with service providers based in China
  • Experience working with a start up co or a newly created role is useful but not a must
  • Effective self-starter who excels in a start-up and fast-paced organisation
  • Exhibit sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others and a proven track record of taking ownership and influencing result
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management
  • Able to thrive in a start-up environment
  • Ability to speak, read and write Chinese well as this role will interact extensively with Chinese service providers in China
