My client is looking for a cloud engineer/architect who is able to run discovery sessions on their existing infrastructure and create a strategic roadmap partnering with Google. The role will essentially lead and direct the firm’s GCP cloud infrastructure objectives and evolution in parallel with the firm’s infrastructure and platform teams.

Desired Qualifications/Skills

10+ years of experience designing and supporting production cloud environments on AWS/ GCP.
Direct experience managing Google as a vendor would be a huge plus.
Experience working with dev teams in setting up and implementing containerization solutions via Docker/Kubernetes.
Experience developing Cloud Infrastructure as Code such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
Strong scripting and coding knowledge (Python, Bash, Powershell etc).
Solid understanding of cloud services and cloud service provider capabilities including

Cloud networking
Cloud security and governance
Containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes
Serverless platforms and services
Hybrid cloud architectures
Cloud operations and administration

In-depth understanding of cloud security concepts and practices.
