Client Connectivity Engineer

We Offer
The successful candidate will be a part of the regional APAC Application Support Group [ASG] providing client connectivity support, certification and onboarding across the entire region.
Client Connectivity
  • Accurately configure clients' connections, mapping rules and order routing rules in production
  • Perform FIX certification with client, vendors and internal systems
  • Provide level 1 support to equities and listed derivatives trading business
  • Provide level 2 support for mission-critical applications in Equities/Futures trading environment while working with other support staff and developers to resolve incidents in a timely manner
  • See incidents through to the end and follow through with incident management towards resolution of issues and closure of tasks
Risk Management
  • Adhere to strict testing procedures and production guidelines
  • Seek to ensure adequate controls are in place to prevent fat fingers, market impact or regulatory breaches
  • Work with multiple stake-holders across multiple departments in collaboration for the testing of new products and features, data and configuration retrieval for audit purposes, and requirements gathering for business analysis.

You will be part of the APAC client connectivity IT team, which has a presence in Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo providing connectivity support and onboarding for the entire APAC region. This team is a very dynamic team with individuals possessing key strengths in certain areas that adds to the sum total strength of the team. You Offer

You are expected to possess the below:
  • Proficient in FIX protocol and Order Management Systems
  • Familiar with the OMS, FIX, and Network vendor space
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to think out of the box to come up with improvements and better solutions
  • Familiar with trading systems and electronic trading and can thrive under-pressure
  • Solid grasp of Change-Management, Incident Management and Problem Management
  • Well conversant in working in a Linux environment and able to understand shell scripting and Python
  • Versatile in the usage of SQL's to perform lookups on relational databases like Oracle and Sybase
  • Acquainted with network and firewall setups
  • Experience with FIX testing and client certification and can produce test cases with summary of results
  • Good business knowledge of the Asia Equities and Derivatives domain
  • Able to work with multiple business partners across different groups and must be a strong team-player
  • At least 5 years of experience working in or having supported an investment bank
  • Possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to use JIRA to manage and track projects
