This role covers the full spectrum of activities of the global private banks distribution team of Asia. The incumbent will be responsible for enabling an efficient sales system (process, infrastructure, relationship assets), and supporting the team (specifically the team head) in deepening key client relationships (including maximising effectiveness of our Global Financial Clients network) - ultimately creating and growing new business areas and driving commercial success of Schroders in the global PB segment.

Job Summary

This role covers the full spectrum of activities of the global private banks distribution team of Asia.  The incumbent will be responsible for enabling an efficient sales system (process, infrastructure, relationship assets), and supporting the team (specifically the team head) in deepening key client relationships (including maximising effectiveness of our Global Financial Clients network) - ultimately creating and growing new business areas and driving commercial success of Schroders in the global PB segment.

 

This is a pro-active role intended to enable the growth of sales of Schroders products amongst the private banking arms of major global banks through supporting and leading growth initiatives.  The role will involve significant engagement with decision makers on client side, and investment desks as well as product managers internally, with the purpose of creating new revenue avenues.

 

Suitable candidates are most likely to be successful if possessing a strong understanding of strategic business management, high level of drive, and a good attitude of being a humble learner.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage all sales support systems: lead initiatives to automate and package tasks to middle office.  Centralise content creation, build sales tools to maximise scale of reach within GPB clients.
  2. Develop and implement initiatives that enable commercial success: contributing to the Net New Business (NNB) objectives and AUM growth
  3. Build strong rapport and maintain excellent relationships with business counterparts, jointly with Team Head.  Systematically track client demands across asset classes, product categories, country deployment - by developing deep understanding of their various product needs as well as grasping the intricacies of their decision-making process.
  4. Work in close collaboration with internal stakeholders within Schroders, including but not limited to Global Financial Clients Group, investments & product management and marketing, in bringing to clients the best of Schroders
  5. Be the key support person to the Head of Global Private Banks Distribution, Asia in strategic business planning, data analytics & management reporting, and all other areas that are necessary towards smooth team operations. 

 

Experience & Skills

  1. At least 5 years’ relevant experience in fund sales/advisory, product management
  2. Strong relationship management and sales skills
  3. Driven, client-oriented with strong business acumen
  4. Proficient, proactive whilst collaborative
  5. Good investment product and market knowhow (CFA charter-holder a plus)
  6. High proficiency in languages across English and Mandarin strongly preferred, as the role is required to support the growth of our business in the China market
