Branch Support and Distribution Head
The Branch Support and Distribution Head is a specialist role which proactively supports the Country Retail Bank Head a robust framework to manage the Operations and Service delivery across the Consumer Branch Network as well as lead the end-to-end of initiatives undertaken by the business to deliver a Branch of the Future distribution network, The role also partners with the Consumer business and function owners including Branch Oversight Function (BOF), IBC & CRS, on risk, control related aspects to guide and manage along with the business and function owners, on all matters related to Branch Operations, Service Delivery and Risks & Controls.

Responsibilities:
Branch & ATM Strategy Formulation & Execution
  • Drives the transition and transformation to a new model for branch and ATM operating model in Singapore, and engaging stakeholders to analyse, recommend and execute for an optimized branch and ATM footprint
  • Ability to systematically and structurally manage a project and provide regular updates to senior management
  • Introduces contextualized impactful analysis and financial simulations to aid strategic discussions
  • Maintains on-going metrics monitoring and ensure post project actions such as performance tracking are duly performed
The Branch Support and Distribution Head will need to partner closely with the Sales & Distribution and Retail Bank functions within the branch network to establish required procedures for effective operations and service delivery across the Consumer Branch network. The incumbent will be required to ensure that the branches are trained on processes and procedures as laid down and validate adherence to the standards and practices established by the business as part of the regular operations of the branches to meet the wider objective of effective branch governance. The Branch Support and Distribution Head will also be required to monitor behaviors and activities utilizing data produced and obtained from branch risk rankings, outliers and reviews to stay connected with the identified and potential risks and issues. The role is also required to work closely with other functions such as IBC/BOF, Information Security, COB, Outsourcing, Fraud, Records Management, CSIS and O&T Risk and Control (OTRC) to meet the above objectives. The role also requires a very active interface with Internal Audit and active participation in Regulatory and Statutory reviews conducted across the network.

The Branch Support and Distribution Head is responsible for establishing, running and continuously enhancing the overall operations, service delivery, process efficiency/automation and risk & control across the Country Consumer Branch network.
Qualifications:
  • Over 15 years of financial services experience, preferably with liability management products
  • Strong numerical, analytical and planning skills and expense management experience
  • Subject expert in wealth management and investments
  • Experience in segments and portfolio management
  • Strong presenter with ability to give talks at client and professional forums
  • Ability to engage the press and give interviews
  • Ablility to provide guidance to senior management on business directions and strategic intent
Education:
  • Degree in any field, preferably in banking and finance
