The Technology Department (TD) is a key enabler to keep our business moving forward and is constantly exploiting state-of-the-art information technologies to enhance GIC’s ability to be the leading global long-term investment firm. We aim to provide users with empowering and transformational capabilities, and to create an inclusive, innovative and integrated work environment. We are looking for an analytical and self-directed candidate to join our technology department as an IT analyst for transactions and valuation system.
•Work closely with business users to understand business needs.
•Analyse requirements holistically and design robust and scalable solutions that also take operational considerations into account.
•Play an active role in the project scoping, planning and coordinating between internal resources and third parties/vendors for project execution.
•Identify and manage issues and change requests, improve team process for better efficiency and effectiveness.
•Provide day-to-day operational support and advisory to business users
•Possess 2-5 years of relevant working experience in system / software development in investment and banking environment, preferably in investment book of records domain, covering transactions and positions data.
•Experienced with the Systems Development Life Cycle implementation methodology (SDLC). Knowledge and experience in agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban will be an added advantage.
•Strong in Java, Weblogic and PL/SQL programming.
•Exposure and knowledge in microservices implementations using technologies like Docker and Spring Cloud.
•Exposure and knowledge in Open Data protocol implementations using technologies like Apache Olingo, JPA.
•Experienced with data modelling/ design/ architecture and data integration tool like Informatica.
•Rapid prototyping skills to quickly translate ideas into solutions.
•Knowledge of Microsoft .NET is advantageous.
•Analytical, meticulous, self-directed and independent.
•Strong communication skills to articulate thought process, for effective discussion with users and internal team.
