The Technology Department (TD) is a key enabler to keep our business moving forward and is constantly exploiting state-of-the-art information technologies to enhance GIC’s ability to be the leading global long-term investment firm. We aim to provide users with empowering and transformational capabilities, and to create an inclusive, innovative and integrated work environment. We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our Technology Department as an IT Systems Analyst.
•Work closely with business users and IT vendors to implement and support application solutions in various areas of GIC business functions, such as front office, investment operations, risk management, corporate services and financial data analytics.
•Work with various IT business application teams, to develop, implement and maintain business application systems using cutting edge techniques and technologies.
•To conduct detailed requirements analysis, system design and effectively implement technical solutions to meet users’ change requests/enhancements for business applications.
•To identify and manage issues and change requests and escalate to the application manager for matters relating scope, resources, schedule, and costs.
•To work in cross functional teams to deliver innovative data driven solutions and automations to improve service delivery for business application operations and maintenance/enhancement support.
•To analyse, tackle and resolve production incidents and systems enhancements change requests for business applications.
•Support application manager in analysing systems operations data (SLAs, customer satisfaction, delivery quality, team efficiency, etc) to identify actionable trends for continual improvements in business applications management.
•Possess a good Degree in Information Technology / Engineering / Computer Science.
•Possess 3-7 years of relevant working experience in business application systems / software development including SDLC / Agile usage in an investment and banking environment.
•Knowledge and experience in agile techniques like Scrum and Kanban will be an added advantage.
•Good team player who is keen to learn, independent, and with strong analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
•Possess good hands-on technical skills and competency in standard technology platforms Java, J2EE, .NET, C#, SQL server, Oracle, Python, R and desktop programming (Excel VBA), etc, with good appreciation of systems development lifecycle, systems design and systems architecture.
•Relevant domain knowledge and financial application systems in at least one of the following areas will be an added advantage: •Equity / Fixed Income

•Market Risk / Credit Risk / Counterparty Risk / Operational Risk / Performance Measurement & Attribution
