Overview of Division/Department

Our Global Project Finance Department - Asia Office (GPFD) is responsible for the project finance business in Asia, excluding Japan. The Natural Resources team covers the following sub-sectors in Asia: oil & gas (including petrochemicals), metals & mining and offshore services and strives to provide market leading debt finance and advisory services to our clients in Asia region.

Job Responsibilities
Your key roles & responsibilities include:
  • Initiating Project Finance marketing activities in mainly the Asia Pacific region
  • Providing lead support to senior team members in financial advisory and major debt arrangements
  • Preparing of pitch books, advisory reports and marketing materials to promote business in both advisory and lending functions, and presenting analysis and findings to clients
  • Developing relationships and maintaining strong networks with clients for new or future business opportunities
  • Developing comprehensive cash-flow models for complex projects in the energy sector, esp. in relation to financial advisory mandates
  • Conducting relevant due diligence to mitigate credit risks and preparing credit applications to obtain credit approvals by coordinating with various related stakeholders
  • Performing cash flow analysis to examine robustness of project economics in a range of scenarios as well as proposing of appropriate debt pricing levels to manage risk profile and adhere to profitability guidelines

Job Requirements
What you should have:
  • At least a Degree in Engineering, Business or Banking & Finance
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Strong analytical, credit and financial modelling skills
  • Familiarity with principles of project finance, project execution, cash-flow based capital project analysis and Export Credit Agency related finance
  • Strong communication skills and pro-active attitude
  • Good understanding of the energy value chain, including experience with economic analysis of project and debt sizing economics
  • Willingness to travel when required
