The candidate will provide Level 1 and Level 2 application support for the Core Banking System of the bank which includes modules related to Accounting, Back Office transactions, Payments, Risks and Reporting for Local Regulator or Head Office in Paris.
Provide level 1 and level 2 application support to the ASIA and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) branches for a core banking application.
Ensure that incidents and enquiries from the business users are followed until their appropriate closure (incident communication, root cause analysis and permanent resolution)
Engagement with the development teams on a regular basis, and appropriate escalation of critical queries.
Support batches to ensure that any incident is solved in a timely manner
Prepare and maintain technical standard operational procedures and solutions
Qualifications and Profile
The candidate should have a related diploma / degree (IT, finance) with 3 to 6 years experience in Application Support, with exposure to Banking Industry.
Knowledge in RDBMS Oracle 9.x/10g/11g, UNIX, Shell scripting, Java, Websphere, TOAD, PL/SQL and Control M
Shell scripts / Perl script
Exposure in data warehouse and business intelligence tool (Business Objects) is an advantage
Knowledge of all phases of the system development /implementation life cycle (SDLC) is preferable
Good knowledge of all phases of the system development /implementation life cycle (SDLC)
