Application Development Manager

Application Development Manager

  • Manages a team of developers or system analysts responsible for application development and IT projects implementation
  • Develops and maintain strong design and development governance principles and executions
  • Designs and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance.
  • Directs the application development team to ensure application architecture and standards are developed and adhered to.
  • Provides support to SIT and UAT, investigate and resolve technical issues reported in projects, partners with project office to support all phases of project implementation and methodologies
  • Conducts system and performance management, application vulnerability management and control, and software release management.
  • Plans and commission production system implementation.
  • Performs code reviews and set standards around coding and application architectural design
  • Provides thought leadership within own area of responsibility.
  • Provides strategic leadership for custom application development needs and support innovation initiatives.
  • Integrates applications by designing database architecture and server scripting


Qualifications
  • Preferably 5 years as application development manager and 7 years of relevant experience in application system development in financial industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge in J2EE, .NET, Python, MVC, Sharepoint, and Web applications and mobile applications development as well as database tools.
  • Experienced in at least 2 large-scale projects implementation in banking environment. Deep understanding of banking domains or applications.
  • Possesses knowledge and experience of cloud computing technology.
  • Self-motivated and possess drive, and ability to work independently and a good team player.
  • Strong analytical, communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Preferably with Information Technology / Engineering / Computer Science related degree.
