Analyst Finance Controller

Position: 12 Months Contract Analyst Finance Controller (Renewable / Convertible)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Involve in the month end legal entity control processes to ensure accurate and proper close of the books and records for the Singapore, Australia and India asset management legal entities
  • Involve in the monthly general ledger certification and substantiation process
  • Work closely with the Regional MIS team on financial planning and analysis processes such as monthly Flash vs. Actual reporting and reviewing outlook revenue and expenses
  • Assist in the regulatory, tax and management reporting such as:
  • Risk-based capital calculations for Singapore entities and Australian Financial Services License (AFSL) monitoring to ensure regulatory requirements are met
  • Regulatory and statistical surveys such as MAS Quarterly Income and Expenditure reporting
  • Monthly withholding and GST reporting for India legal entities
  • Quarterly corporate tax calculations and GST filing
  • Asset under management reporting for Singapore and Australia legal entities
  • Support the annual statutory and tax audits in Singapore, Australia and India
  • Support the preparation of meeting materials for various location management committee meetings and regional finance control committee
  • Participate in new business or corporate initiatives and projects

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting & Finance, ACCA or any other relevant professional qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant Accounting or Audit experience from Banking & Financial Institutions, MNC or Public Accounting firms
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to think broadly and make connections between diverse issues and tasks
  • Effective communication skills, and demonstrate ability to build strong working relationships with global counterparts
  • Meticulous and strong control awareness
  • Committed, proactive and demonstrates initiative to drive better workflow efficiency
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and US GAAP
  • Broad understanding of local regulations pertaining to banking industry and banking products
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Macros
  • Be able to handle complex tasks independently and work efficiently as a Team player
