Department Description
As a team member of the Finance Data Management, you are required to provide data stewardship oversight on GFRDM (Group Financial Reporting Datamart) through understanding the use of finance information in support of various reporting and analytical needs within Group Financial Control & Advisory (GFCA).
This position will report to the VP, GFCA, Finance Data Management

Key Responsibilities:
  1. GFRDM maintenance
    1. Ensure data integrity and accuracy of GFRDM through reconciliation against source applications and GL.
    2. Ensure that the Layer 1 xmaps are updated timely and acts as central coordinator with the various teams in GFCA in ensuring consistent data application between Layer 1 and respective Layer 2s' specialised applications.
  2. Project management and participation
    1. Assess impact of new products and upstream system enhancements to GFRDM
    2. Liaise between IT and GFCA finance users on data and information requirements and ensure appropriate data are mapped into GFRDM.
    3. Perform user acceptance testing; working alongside other finance teams in supporting their specialised applications.
    4. Assess the impact of the ERP 2.0 Accounting Hub on downstream GFCA datamarts, define change specifications to support use - reconciliation and analysis.
    1. Support GFCA finance users on data queries and data needs.
    2. Participate in finance related projects as assigned; contribute in thought process on the appropriate use of data for information analysis.

The ideal Candidate will meet the following requirements:
  • Degree in Finance and / or Computer Science qualification.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in the financial services sector, preferable in roles of finance, finance related systems and / or MIS.
  • Have a good understanding of project management, finance processes and banking products to help drive process efficiency and change.
  • Good oral/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proactive team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to foster collaboration with internal and external parties.
