Team Overview

Accounting Control Team is responsible for the control and monitoring of our clients’ portfolio data on the Accounting Book of Record (ABOR).  The team works closely with investment teams and other operational areas to ensure the integrity and accuracy of our accounting records.  They are responsible for production of periodic and adhoc operational client reports such as client valuations, as well as resolving client queries raised via Distribution teams.

We are looking for energetic individual who is keen to explore new technology and tools to improve current work processes.  In this role, you will represent the team to champion business process changes, define workflow to support new investment needs, and participant in adhoc regional projects.

 

What you’ll do

  • Responsible for co-ordination and execution of local and regional middle/back office projects including business analysis, workflow reengineering and testing
  • Work with the various functional teams to implement new capabilities with middle/back office to support new products or initiatives
  • Support new instrument approval process and new market approval process
  • Support RPA opportunities and implementation
  • Develop test scripts; conduct testing, report test progress and defects
  • Proactively engaging the business to understand their workflow requirements and translating them to test case scenarios, and following them through to test execution
  • Follow up on test defects with IT independently and ensure timely completion of test execution
  • Communicate detailed and complex concepts and ideas both verbally and in writing in a concise and clear manner

 

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

  • 2-3 years of relevant working experience, preferable in Accounting and Valuation role
  • Good knowledge of financial products such as Equities, Fixed Income and Derivatives
  • Knowledge and experience in user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing business change
  • Good technical knowledge and ability to translate between IT and the business
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate under pressure and deliver to demanding deadlines
  • Proficient in basic software including MS Excel, Power BI

 

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help

  • Experience working within a middle/back office environment in an asset management firm
  • Experience in defining and documenting business requirements
  • Provide business analysis support and assist with business requirements documentation
  • Experience in implementation of Robotic Process Automation
  • Familiar with Agile workflow
  • Aladdin Experience
