a. The primary responsibility of this role is account management of two key banking clients for the Singapore market with some regional focus. The role will also develop new opportunities with key merchants, mobile network operators and government institutions/ministries that will drive the world beyond cash. This could be by replacing cash as merchants, working on new payment solution enabling B2G or G2C payments with government institutions or licensing mobile network operators with the view to accelerate business growth for MasterCard share and volume while identifying new revenue streams.

b. This individual will report into the General Manager of Singapore and will need to work with key constituents both internally (market development, global products & solutions, legal, franchise and finance teams), as well as external resources (customers and merchants, regulators and third party service providers) to ensure seamless execution of the strategy.

c. Experience in leading multiple projects; able to quickly grasp new ideas; able to simplify strategy into specific actions with clear accountability is essential.


- Maintain primary responsibility for managing the relationship and profitability of target customers.
- Responsible for all account management/business development activities for customer set.
- Design and execute strategic/tactical plans to enhance customer and MasterCard profitability.
- Develop strong working relationships with key influencers at customer banks and with MasterCard support teams.
- Work with MasterCard cross functional teams to identify new segment and product opportunities and develop bespoke propositions to maximize segment penetration.
- Leverage all MasterCard brand sponsorship properties, product/services to deliver exceptional customer value.
- Responsible for all administrative and operational issues for the target customer set.
- Manage & develop new and existing products; programs and services, as required.
- Perform market research and opportunity assessments on new concepts and ideas. Assess the viability of new products in support of market strategy.
- Recommends market strategy including pricing; introduction to market; profit planning; expense budgets; etc.
- Develop financial modeling and business cases for identified opportunities
- Develop sales pipeline leveraging all available resources in coordination with the product development and market development teams
- Drive PR and Media engagement for the General Manager of Singapore.

All About You

• Bachelor's Degree required. MBA or Masters (Preferred).
• Working experience in progressive business, technology/operations and sales experience with demonstrated success.
• Good understanding of payment products and services - e.g. cards, EMV, mobile payments, eCommerce and Internet/Mobile banking
• Strong network of business contacts in the card and payments industry
• Experience of working with financial institutions, mobile network operators and government ministries.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment resulting in high-quality output.
• Strong financial skills are a must including budget and forecasting experiences.
• Effectively interact at all levels of the organization from senior level executives to individual contributors.
• Superb account management skills. Highly organized; detail-oriented
• Ability to identify issues before they develop into problems; proactively resolve issues directly or through escalation to appropriate partners.
• Self driven, organized and pro-active
