AVP, Policy and Governance Team, Group Anti-Money Laundering

  • Understand the various policy and regulatory requirements in countries where OCBC operates and adopt requirements or practices that are robust to support the Group's AML/CFT framework and program

  • Maintain the Group AML/CFT Policy to ensure that the policy and procedures are aligned to MAS Notices and Guidelines including best practices and guidelines specified in the ABS Guidelines.

  • Provide advisories support to Business/Support units and OCBC entities on policy/procedures related matters

  • Monitor the implementation of the policy at the Business/Support units level to assess the operational effectiveness and revise the policy for better clarity, where necessary

  • Continuously perform gap analysis of the Group's policy to ensure that policy requirements are updated and reviewed to streamline control requirements from end to end operational processes

  • Provide strategic directive on operational requirements to fulfil the Group's AML/CFT and Sanctions obligations including specifications for the Group's operational systems to ensure integration into the Customer Identification, Due Diligence and Monitoring Programs

  • Assess and monitor deviations for escalation and approval where relevant

  • Be the point of contact for audit liaison as well as issue tracking for all GLRC AML owned AO.

  • Co-ordinate with various stakeholder as well as prepare the submission of Senior Management Reporting. This also includes periodically refreshing and enhancing the reporting formats, KPIs, metrics, etc.

  • Be the lead in GLRC AML continuous education and training matters and take charge of the maintenance of GLRC AML approving authorities and functions lists.

  • Any other duties deem necessary by the Head of Policy Governance.

  • A university degree with at least 7 years experience in compliance and anti-money laundering/counter terrorism financing compliance ("AML") with established financial institutions.

  • Broad knowledge of business, operations and the AML/CFT regulatory framework in which bank groups operate.

  • Strong analytical skills and clear thought process.

  • Strong communication (including written) and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to influence and work with multiple stakeholders across the business.
