Technology Department manages and exploits information technologies to enhance GIC’s ability to be the leading global long term investment firm. It aims to provide users with empowering and transformational capabilities, and to create an inclusive, innovative and integrated work environment. We are looking for a potential talent to join our Technology Department as an IT Business Analyst (Enterprise IT – Corporate Services).
•Working closely with Corporate Communications department to understand and gather business needs to implement technology solutions.
•Analyse from a holistic perspective business needs, mutual interdependencies, risk and benefits to propose the best solution.
•Support the delivery of Corporate Services initiatives using advanced techniques and technologies.
•Assist in planning and implementation of projects/tracks. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
•Assist in the definition of project scope, requirements and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
•Develop / assist in developing a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
•Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques. Resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas.
•Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Report and escalate to management as needed.
•Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes.
•Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
•Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members.
•With 5 to 8 years of relevant technology experience in the developing, analysing and implementing solutions for end users/clients.
•Possess a good Honors degree preferably from a reputable university in Information Technology or equivalent.
•Proven experience with both traditional waterfall as well as AGILE/Adaptive project methodologies
•Possess strong communication and validation skills. Able to iterate through the requirements in phases. Evidence of staying in alignment with business sponsor, stakeholders, and management.
•Good team player who is keen to learn, independent, and with strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
•Prior experience in implementing and/or supporting Corporate Communications Solutions (Intranet Mobile Apps, Social Collaboration Apps) will be an added advantage
•Technical skillsets including C#/.NET, Oracle Database (11g, 12c), SQL server, SQL SSIS/stored procedures, Mobile / Web development technologies, Java/J2EE, desktop programming (Excel), Oracle Hyperion, Pentaho PDI, Informatica and Tableau.
•Experienced in working with multicultural and multinational teams across time zones
•Knowledge of financial instruments and qualifications such as CFA or MFE will be an added advantage.
