AVP/Senior Associate, Credit COO Office, Risk Management Group

Business Function

Risk Management Group works closely with our business partners to manage the bank's risk exposure by balancing its objective to maximise returns against an acceptable risk profile. We partner with origination teams to provide financing, investments and hedging opportunities to our customers. To manage risk effectively and run a successful business, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Strategic Change Management

  • Work with various Credit roles (e.g. Credit Risk Manager) to understand the requirements, develop solutions to address the problem statement and obtain agreement on the recommendation.
  • Drive strategic change initiatives to continuously improve the existing processes
  • Provide support to various projects which may include data analysis, UAT, conducting surveys, requirements gathering, etc.

Governance & Control
  • Ensure timely completion of operational risk and business continuity tools and provide guidance to Units on identification/ assessment of risks and controls, e.g. Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA), Key Risk Indicator (KRI), Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
  • Track and monitor open issues and escalate potential issues timely to Unit management for resolution.
  • Promote risk and control awareness by providing regular sharing on policy changes, key risk trends, best practices and lessons learnt.


Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in any related field
  • Minimum 5 years' working experience in financial services industry (preferably in Credit underwriting or Institutional banking)
  • Knowledge in corporate banking products is required
  • Experience in change and project management
  • Intermediate to Expert level in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Having MS Excel Macro or SQL skill will be an advantage
  • Detail-oriented and committed to meeting tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and writing skills with proven track record of producing clear, concise, organised and convincing write-up for intended audience
  • Team player and able to build relationships with other business stakeholders
